Are you passionate about books, helping others, and being a key part of a vibrant community? The City of Mason City is looking for a dynamic, friendly, and dedicated Part-Time Library Clerk to join our team at the Mason City Public Library!

Your Role: As a Library Clerk, you'll play an essential part in providing excellent service to library patrons. You'll get hands-on experience in various library operations, from assisting patrons at the service desk to helping organize collections. Every day will bring something new as you support the community's love for learning and discovery!

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Thursday: 3pm - 7pm
• Every Other Friday: 11am - 3pm
• Every Other Saturday: 9am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and Maintain:
  Shelve, straighten, and organize library materials, keeping everything neat and easy to access.
• Provide Excellent Service:
  Assist patrons at the public service desk, guiding them to find resources, checking out materials, and answering questions.
• Help People Explore:
  Help users navigate our library catalog and introduce them to new materials and collections.
• Tech Support:
  Assist patrons with computer use, Internet access, and logging into the library system.
• Create Impact:
  Help design engaging bulletin boards, displays, and library programs that make the library experience even more fun and welcoming!
• Flexible Support:
  Assist in cataloging the history department, and other library functions as needed to support your team.
