Construction Representative

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities on transportation, civil, and municipal infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
• Document daily field and inspection activities, including material sampling, testing, and quantity measurements.
• Assist with preconstruction meetings, progress updates, and conflict resolution sessions.
• Prepare and negotiate construction change orders.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and SEH team members.
• Assist in the development of proposals, estimating project budgets and schedules, and completing constructability reviews.

This opportunity is open to candidates residing in Mason City, IA. SEH is unable to hire employees residing in the following states at this time: AK, AR, CA, CT, DE, HI, KY, MA, RI, VT, and PR. Candidates willing to relocate should indicate this in their application.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in the construction field.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and navigate rough terrain on construction sites.
• Willingness to travel for team meetings, client consultations, and on-site observations.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

• Possession of applicable DOT technical certifications or ability to obtain within six months.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Micro Station.
• Familiarity with Blue Beam software.

Position requires an MVR records check verifying that you possess a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets the requirements of SEH's Driving Program.
