Emergency Medicine Practice emergency medicine at a Level III Trauma Center within a full-service hospital offering strong specialty support, advanced resources, and an academic teaching environment.
Facility & Practice Details:
Level III Trauma Center Annual ED volume: 25,000 visits
42 hours of physician coverage per day Practice at one site only
Full-service hospital with:
- 24/7 Hospitalist program - Air medical and ambulance services - CT and MRI located in the department - Bedside ultrasound - Point-of-use supplies in every room Tertiary center with 300+ physicians and broad specialty support including:
- Trauma Surgery - Neurosurgery - Cardiology - Gastroenterology - ENT - Pediatric Hospitalists - OB/GYN - Pulmonary/Critical Care - Neurology - Infectious Disease - Orthopedic Surgery - Vascular Surgery - Anesthesia - Radiology Less than 1% patient transfer rate Teaching opportunities with residents, medical students, and PA/ARNP students
Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine Eligible for Iowa medical licensure
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary: $421,000 annually ($225/hour) plus incentives $100,000 recruitment bonus
Up to $15,000 relocation allowance
Extra shift bonus pay available
120 hours annual time off (ATO)
CME allowance: $6,000 annually
Employer-paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage
