Position OverviewMercy One North Iowa is the largest provider of health care services in our region and prides itself on being the largest employer in Cerro Gordo County. We are a private, not-for-profit health care center, licensed for 346 beds, serving more than 400,000 inpatients and outpatients each year. We run several residency and fellowship programs and serve as a clinical training site for nearly 500 students from 127 institutions.
Join the Mercy One family as a Radiology Technician in our Urgent Care Clinic.
- Recognize and assess urgent/emergency needs of patients and initiate appropriate emergency procedures as needed.
- Follow clinic procedure/protocol for the organization and management of the electronic medical record (i.e., test results, retrieval, filing, creation, repair, charging of electronic medical record).
- Apply specialized radiology skills under the direction of a clinic provider in the care and treatment of patients in a clinic setting.
- Perform a variety of routine and skilled radiology tests, diagnostic tests, or procedures to patients of all ages.
- 40 hours a week.
- Clinic is open 7:00 am – 7:00 pm Monday to Friday and 8:00 am – 5:00 pm on weekends.
- Shift length can vary between 8 and 12 hours.
- Must maintain State of Iowa permit to practice Radiology.
- Graduated from a 2‑year radiologic technology program.
- Clinic/physician office experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to the population served within three (3) months of hire.
