Sanitation Team Member

As a Sanitation Team Member at Cargill in our Food & Beverage Operations, you will help ensure a safe and clean production environment within the Sanitation Management department. You will clean and sanitize equipment, floors, and production areas to meet strict food safety and quality standards. Working with a diverse team, you'll follow GMPs, SOPs, and safety protocols while handling sanitation chemicals and tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of production areas, equipment, and tools to meet food safety standards
• Handle and mix cleaning chemicals safely, following all safety data sheet (SDS) guidelines
• Conduct routine inspections to identify sanitation issues and report any concerns to supervisors
• Follow Cargill's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Properly dispose of waste and maintain orderly storage of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to minimize contamination risks
• Document sanitation activities and maintain accurate cleaning logs
• Use and maintain sanitation equipment such as foaming units, hoses, and floor scrubbers
• Adhere to all safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures to prevent accidents
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in sanitation and food safety
