Job Overview
Customer Care Representative I – Virtual with on‑site training at the Mason, OH office. The position begins on September 14, 2026, with 16 weeks of on‑site training (9:00AM–5:30PM, Monday‑Friday). After training, the role will be performed virtually, with occasional office visits as needed. You will be assigned a permanent shift starting between 10:30AM and 11:30AM. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to the Mason, OH location.
Responsibilities- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries via telephone and written correspondence regarding insurance benefits, provider contracts, eligibility and claims.
- Analyze problems and provide information or solutions.
- Operate a PC/image station to obtain and extract data, documenting activities and changes in the database for accurate tracking and analysis.
- Maintain positive customer relationships and coordinate with various functions to ensure timely handling of requests and questions.
- Research and analyze data to address operational challenges and customer service issues.
- Handle follow‑up telephone calls and e‑mails for routine questions under immediate supervision.
- Use computerized systems for tracking, information gathering and troubleshooting.
- Multitask across calls, texts, facsimiles and electronic queues while taking notes and speaking to customers.
- Maintain focus during extended periods of sitting.
- Perform well in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, empathy, persistence and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with digital tools and platforms to enhance productivity.
- Work structured schedule, with occasional overtime or flexibility based on business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an automated customer service environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Call center experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment strongly preferred.
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Problem‑solving, facilitation and analytical skills.
- Catastrophic analytic experience for URAC accredited areas (if applicable).
