Job Description:

A Career Technical Laboratory Assistant assists in guiding and directing students in the career technical laboratory or classroom, performing duties directly related to their field of expertise.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent;
Associate's Degree in related area preferred

* Holds credential for designated career-technical laboratory (preferred)

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills

* Strong organizational and technology skills

* Hold a valid Ohio Educator's licensure or permit (or be willing to obtain)

* Must pass a criminal background check

* Hold a valid Ohio Driver's License

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Provide Direct Student Support

* Assist small groups of students in career technical laboratory/related classroom

* Assist with preparation of instructional materials and processes for laboratory activities

* Assist with keeping student attendance and performance records

* Assist with maintaining inventory of instructional materials and equipment and perform minor maintenance of equipment

* Attend field trips related to the assigned career-technical laboratory setting

* Assist with program orientation for new students

* Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional

* Ability to administer basic first aid

* Notify teacher if student is not meeting classroom goals

* Other duties as assigned

Salary:
Starting: $18.10/hr based on experience
