Description:
Teacher - School Counselor, 1 FTE
Job Summary:
The School Counselor K-6 supports the academic, social-emotional, and career development of elementary students in alignment with state standards and district policies.
This position fosters a positive school climate, promotes student well-being, and provides preventative and responsive services to address individual student needs.
The counselor plays a key role in early career awareness, personal goal-setting, and student planning to support long-term success.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in School Counseling or a related field.
Valid Ohio School Counselor License as required by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE).
Experience in K-6 student support services, counseling, or behavioral interventions preferred.
Valid driver's license or state
Working Conditions:
7.75 hours per day, 184 days per school year calendar. Please see the attachment for

Selection Procedure:
Applicants will be evaluated based on qualifications, experience, and alignment with district needs. Selected candidates will participate in interviews, which may include panel interviews,
reference checks, and/or teaching demonstrations.
Applicants that are offered positions shall be required to submit to an FBI/BCII criminal background check. Failure to satisfactorily pass the criminal background check based on the discretion of the Board of Education will preclude an individual from employment with the district.
