Position:
Long-Term Intervention Specialist Substitute
Reports to:
Harrison Junior School Building Principal
Southwest Local School District is searching for a Long-Term Intervention Specialist Substitute at Harrison Junior School from August - mid-September.
Salary
Schedule:
* $125 per day
* Teacher contract for 60+ days
Teacher hired will be paid through HCESC's Aesop Substitute Teaching System. Candidate must also apply through www.
Subsolutions.org.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, implement, and deliver instruction aligned with district curriculum and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) during the absence of the assigned Intervention Specialist.
* Implement lesson plans, adapt instruction as needed, and maintain continuity of student learning throughout the long-term assignment.
* In the event the substitute assignment is no longer needed, an alternate assignment or schedule may be provided.
* Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and district policies related to the identification, evaluation, placement, and educational programming of students with disabilities.
* Implement IEPs with fidelity, including accommodations, modifications, goals, and specially designed instruction.
* Monitor student progress, maintain appropriate documentation, and communicate regularly with building administrators, classroom staff, related service providers, and parents.
* Collaborate as an integral member of the educational team, including general education teachers, related service providers, outside agencies, and families to support student success.
* Establish and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal or designee.
* Working knowledge of Ohio Learning Standards and Ohio's Extended Standards is preferred.
Qualification Profile:
* Passing Background and Fingerprint examination.
Additional Duties:
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
