Tool / Fixture Design Engineer

A leading aerospace manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Tool / Fixture Design Engineer to support the design and development of precision tooling, fixtures, gauges, and work holding solutions used in advanced machining operations.

• Design tooling, fixtures, gauges, and work holding solutions for complex machining operations
• Develop 3D models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation
• Support tooling projects from concept through manufacturing and implementation
• Review part prints and manufacturing processes to create practical, cost-effective tooling solutions
• Participate in design reviews and provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to improve tooling performance and production efficiency
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and cost reduction
• Maintain tooling documentation and revision control

• 5+ years of tooling or fixture design experience within a machining or manufacturing environment
• Strong experience designing work holding fixtures and tooling for precision manufacturing
• Proficiency with Siemens NX or similar 3D CAD software
• Knowledge of GD&T, machining processes, and manufacturing best practices
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or other high-precision manufacturing environments is highly preferred
• Mechanical Engineering degree preferred but equivalent industry experience will be considered
