The Co-op is a college or college-bound student pursuing an engineering or quality-related degree and is interested in gaining experience in engineering, manufacturing, assembly techniques, process development, design principles and philosophies, along with quality assurance. The Co-op will support the Model Shop by utilizing various shop machinery, equipment, and CAD software. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with fellow employees and management, solving problems, and creating innovative solutions.

The Co-op will gain hands-on experience in the development of concepts, prototypes, fixtures, and production equipment through involvement in development, design, fabrication, and documentation processes and related assignments.

• Involved in building simple prototypes, fixtures, gauges, and equipment
• Solving problems of basic to moderate scope and complexity
• Assist in the design, fabrication, and assembly of working prototypes, fixtures, and equipment under guidance of an assigned mentor or shop management
• Manipulate basic to moderate CAD files with multiple parts and assemblies
• Work under the supervision and guidance of shop personnel and/or shop management
• Support engineering activities and other company functions as assigned by supervisor
• Identify assembly process or equipment improvements
• Document all work in compliance with Atri Cure Quality System requirements and corporate policies

• Regular and predictable worksite attendance
• Ability to work under fast-paced conditions
• Ability to make decisions and use good judgment
• Ability to prioritize duties and multitask as required
• Ability to work effectively with others
• Additional duties as assigned

• High School diploma
• Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering/Technical field
• Desire to initiate a mechanical/manufacturing/engineering career in the future

• Master Cam – Design & Programming experience (CAD/CAM)
• Auto Desk Inventor – Design & Schematics
• Machining experience – manual and CNC Knee Mill & Lathe

• Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as required
• Ability to occasionally bend and push/pull
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
