Financial Center Banker

As part of the Branch Banking team, a Financial Center Banker will acquire or already have an in-depth knowledge of Northwest products and services to provide financial options to clients through a consultative approach while expanding the banking relationship. The Financial Center Banker connects customers with Northwest products and services, opening accounts; and identifies customer financial needs while connecting customers to other Northwest financial experts who can help with those needs while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

• Meeting or exceeding performance targets related to customer satisfaction, product sales, and financial wellness conversations.
• Continuously striving to improve skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.
• Conducting comprehensive financial assessments for customers to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
• Analyzing customer accounts, transactions, and behaviors to offer personalized recommendations.
• Ensuring compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures and maintaining operational soundness.
• Building leadership while ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all operational activities and financial center security.
• Proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Portraying the Northwest Bank culture by delivering exceptional customer service experiences and addressing customer concerns and complaints promptly and effectively.
• Initiating proactive conversations with customers to build rapport and understand their financial objectives, using active listening skills to uncover opportunities to enhance their financial well‑being.
• Building long‑term relationships with customers through ongoing support and follow‑up, anticipating their needs and proactively offering assistance and guidance.
• Adhering to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
• Maintaining confidentiality of customer information.
• Maximizing technology tools by navigating Microsoft Office, department‑specific software, and computer applications to gain efficiency.
• Working as part of a team and performing all daily branch tasks, opening and closing duties, and adherence to security and dual control processes.
• Completing other duties and special projects as requested by management.

• Establishing effective working relationships among team members and participating in problem solving and decision making.
• Presenting and expressing ideas and information clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, appropriate to the audience.
• Actively listening to others to achieve understanding, share information, and facilitate open exchange of ideas.

• Making right decisions based on perceptive and analytical processes and practicing good judgment in gray areas.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• At least one year of banking and/or retail experience (preferred).
• Experience in sales and customer service (preferred).
