Adult Probation Officer
Warren County is looking for an Adult Probation Officer who can counsel adult offenders toward compliance with the legal conditions of probation. The role involves conducting pre‑sentence investigations and serving in a variety of capacities and assignments within the department as required by the Chief Adult Probation Officer. A probation officer is an essential part of rehabilitating offenders back into society.
To be a successful Adult Probation Officer you should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking, decision making, level‑heldness and organizational skills.
Responsibilities- Conduct pre‑sentence investigations.
- Serve in a variety of capacities and assignments within the department as required by the Chief Adult Probation Officer.
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in social sciences or law enforcement related field.
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of prior experience in criminal justice or social services area.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Pass a background check.

This position typically operates Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. The position may require work outside of those normal operating hours. Overtime and flexibility potential.
