Onsite Hourly Recruiter Position Summary

The Onsite Hourly Recruiter supports full-cycle hiring for hourly manufacturing roles at the plant. This role focuses on sourcing, screening, scheduling, and onboarding coordination to ensure timely hiring and compliance with company standards.

The recruiter works closely with plant leadership and HR to support day-to-day hiring needs across shifts.

Hourly Recruiting Support

- Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit for production, sanitation, warehouse, and maintenance support roles.
  • Source candidates through job boards, referrals, and hiring events.
  • Screen applicants and conduct initial interviews.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling with supervisors and managers.
  • Communicate shift schedules, job expectations, and work environment clearly to candidates.
  • Maintain candidate pipelines for high-volume roles.
  • Follow up with candidates regarding interview status and next steps.
  • Pre-Employment Processing:
    Initiate background checks and required drug and medical screenings.
  • Support new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
  • Update applicant tracking systems with accurate candidate status.
  • Track basic recruiting metrics (open roles, interviews scheduled, offers extended).
  • Communicate hiring updates to HR and plant leaders.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1–3 years of recruiting, staffing, or hiring coordination experience (manufacturing or high-volume environment preferred).
  • Experience scheduling interviews and managing pre-employment steps.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic applicant tracking systems.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting multi-shift hiring.
  • Experience assisting with hiring events.
  • Familiarity with Workday, Kronos, or similar systems.
Core Skills
  • Strong organization and follow-through.
  • Clear communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple open roles at once.
  • Attention to detail in documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
  • Onsite in a manufacturing facility.
  • Required PPE.
  • Regular presence on the plant floor.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Flexibility to support occasional off-shift hiring needs.
