Position: Senior Global Total Rewards SpecialistAmsterdam, Netherlands; Mason, OH

Position Summary

The Senior Global Total Rewards Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring our team’s success through the strategic development and management of comprehensive global compensation and benefits programs. This includes market research to maintain competitive packages, oversight of annual processes such as merit increases, and consultation on policies that balance organizational goals with employee needs. The role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in the Total Rewards space, responsible for job classifications, salary band management, data‑driven insights, cross‑functional project management, benefits set‑up, enhancements, and renewals.

Functions
  • Support the development and execution of comprehensive global benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company benefits.
  • Design international benefits for multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders on benefits renewals, plan design improvements, and vendor performance evaluation.
  • Respond to escalated employee inquiries, provide guidance on complex benefit issues, and create resources to promote understanding and engagement of benefits programs.
  • Drive wellness initiatives and contribute to global benefits projects as needed.
  • Develop and execute global total rewards communication strategies to increase employee engagement and understanding of available offerings.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and analysis on global compensation and benefits metrics, trends, and forecasts for various levels of leadership.
  • Participate in the development of key compensation elements, including creating and revising compensation structures, job evaluation process, maintaining job classification and salary bands, and functional reviews.
  • Support global Total Rewards projects, including system enhancements, program rollouts, and policy updates or implementation.
  • Support the annual merit increase, bonus allocation, and long‑term incentive processes, ensuring they are carried out smoothly and within budget.
  • Stay abreast of global trends, legislation, and best practices in global compensation and benefits to make informed recommendations for program enhancements that align with business goals.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance employee experience.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 5‑7 years of experience in compensation and benefits within a fast‑paced, complex organization, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge of compensation frameworks, benefits administration, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing successful total rewards programs that enhance employee engagement and organizational performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with proficiency in HRIS tools and advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Pay Range

US: $65,000 - $90,000 USD

Netherlands: €65,000 - €80,000 EUR

Location

This position can be based in Amsterdam (NL) or in Mason, Ohio (USA).
