Systems Engineer
Job Description
Engineer III – responsible for end-to-end system development and maintenance on complex technology systems within the assigned client group, business unit, or corporate department. Reports to the Pulse Point location (4361 Irwin Simpson Rd, Mason, OH 45040). Requires 1–2 days in-office per week with flexibility for virtual work.
Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- Develop strategic and tactical plans for an enterprise-wide information security program.
- Design, develop, and maintain medium to large complex customer technology platforms or architectures.
- Maintain active relationships with internal and/or external stakeholders to develop business requirements.
- Analyze and classify complex change requests, identifying possible system code enhancements.
- Collaborate with engineers and graphic designers, reviewing proposed enhancements.
- Define application scope and objectives, preparing functional and technical specifications.
- Analyze and evaluate detailed business and technical requirements, understanding product analytics.
- Identify problems and risks, implement code solutions, and mentor peers on coding standards.
- Perform code reviews, advise QA on impact, and develop and execute system testing.
- Assist integration activities with other IT departments for successful implementation and support.
- Provide on-call support, monitor systems, and identify deficiencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- At least three (3) years of experience in related occupation(s).
- Java
11/J2EE, Core and Cloud Native Design Patterns. - Cloud Engineering and Terraform Engineering.
- Dev Ops experience with Tekton, Argo, Bamboo, Git Lab Git Ops, or Git Flow.
- Experience developing serverless solutions.
- Microservices:
Spring Boot or equivalent frameworks, Hibernate, Transaction Management. - Angular, NodeJS, Python.
- Experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, and GCP.
- SQL and No
SQL database basics. - Kubernetes, kubectl, and container orchestration platforms such as Open Shift.
