Agency Support Associate
The Agency Support Specialist is a role within Insure Stays, a 50-state insurance-licensed agency and sister company of Rental Guardian. The agency focuses on our partnerships with highly rated underwriters, brokers, agents, TPAs and technology providers to develop and manage insurance programs and services powered by the Rental Guardian platform. This role will support core agency functions including licensing and training, underwriting and account approval, surplus lines policy delivery, reporting and filing and compliance support.
What You'll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)
- Licensing Support
- Underwriting Support
- Surplus Lines Policy, BDX and Reporting Support
Licensing Support
- Become familiar with travel insurance policy delivery, service, and management, including approved materials and program descriptions
- Become familiar with travel retailer regulations and requirements for certifying, reporting, managing and training authorized retailers under the agency and assist with documenting related business practices and processes.
- Become an expert in NIPR licensing process and support.
- Support ongoing review of client websites to ensure compliance with basic rules for offering travel and damage protection products and services.
Underwriting Support
- Become familiar with program underwriters and their underwriting requirements and processes for screening applicants for coverage approval
- Become familiar with products and related approved materials and program descriptions
- Become an expert in use of proprietary software to prepare coverage, bordereaux and experience reports related to underwriting functions.
- Assist with preparation of monthly bordereaux and agency premium payment reports
Surplus Lines Policy, BDX and Reporting Support
- Become an expert in using proprietary and third-party software related to surplus lines policy reporting and surplus lines tax calculation and payment through these systems.
- Follow prescribed processes to support the timely and accurate delivery and reporting of policies and endorsements
- Work with accounting regarding payments as they relate to underwriting activities, surplus lines policy and tax reporting and retailer compliance
- Perform data entry tasks associated with the role
- Support other insurance processes as necessary
- Compile BDX reports for BDX payments to underwriters
- Support department managers in the performance of ad hoc tasks and activities.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
