About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Materials Planning Coordinator to join a dynamic supply chain team in Mason, OH on a 3-month contract. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring materials are available to support production schedules while coordinating with purchasing, warehouse, and manufacturing teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career supply chain professional looking to gain experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials from receiving and warehouse operations to production.
  • Develop raw material and production scheduling requirements based on engineering specifications and production demands.
  • Coordinate material availability with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Production teams.
  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to support production planning and inventory management.
  • Monitor material shortages and help resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Work with suppliers to coordinate delivery schedules and lead times as needed.
  • Support shipping and logistics activities, including assisting with export/import documentation and compliance requirements when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate planning records and reports.
  • Assist with process improvements and contribute to enhancements in planning systems and workflows.
  • Communicate planning updates and material status with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR Associate degree (or two years of post-secondary education) with 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred
  • Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production planning, or supply chain operations.
Work Environment
  • Onsite position in an open office environment.
  • Collaborative team of four professionals.
  • Supports multiple manufacturing and supply chain projects.
  • Standard business hours.
