3rd shift Skilled Machine Operator; K&M), M-F

Overview

Kraft Heinz Company is seeking a Skilled Machine Operator to work in the Condiment Packet Automation Department in the production area in Mason, OH. Successful candidates must be willing to contribute improvement ideas to help continue the success of the facility. Ideal candidates are safety- and quality-oriented, adaptable, and able to work in a teamwork-oriented, fast-paced environment. This position requires performing general production duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards.

This role is currently on 3rd shift (11:00 pm to 7:00 am).

• Operating filling equipment; making minor machine adjustments.
• Packaging finished products and preparing packaging materials.
• Making corrugated boxes and partitions and packing finished merchandise.
• Sealing cases, labeling, and placing finished cases on pallets as directed.
• Monitoring packaging weights and components; ensuring accuracy of hourly machine counts.
• Following scrap procedures and maintaining accurate visual boards.
• Cleaning and rinsing equipment during changeovers; keeping work area clean at all times.
• Operating packaging machines in accordance with procedures and completing setup, product hookups, changes overs, washouts, and roll changes as required.
• Completing all paperwork accurately, including production work orders and downtime sheets.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Candidates must be available to work all shifts including second, third, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry 25–50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Outstanding attendance record.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to call out defects and adhere to quality standards.
• Meet the requirements of a job skills assessment (to be administered after a passing interview).

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred; GMP/regulated industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to stay cool under pressure and balance changing priorities.
• Positive, team-focused attitude and ability to work collaboratively.

• Starting pay: $24.07/hour

Monday–Friday, 11:00 pm to 7:00 am (3rd shift, variable based on assigned work). Overtime is possible, with up to 4 hours before or after the regular shift. Weekend overtime may be required.
