Electronics Technician, Electronics Assembler
Vaco is hiring a Direct Hire, fully onsite Electronics Technician to support testing, troubleshooting, repair, and assembly of analog electronic components and assemblies. This role will be approximately 50% soldering/assembly and 50% testing and troubleshooting in a regulated, quality-driven environment.
The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience with analog electronics, strong soldering skills, and the ability to work from schematics, test procedures, and technical documentation. This position requires proficiency with standard electronic test equipment and a detail‑oriented approach to inspection, rework, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of analog electronic assemblies
- Execute through‑hole soldering and rework; SMT experience preferred
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Utilize multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators
- Identify component‑level failures and assist with root cause analysis
- Document test results and repairs per quality procedures
- Support incoming inspection, refurbishment, and final acceptance testing
- Maintain ESD controls and a clean, organized work environment
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams as needed
- 2–3+ years of hands‑on electronics technician experience
- Strong background in analog electronics
- Demonstrated soldering and rework experience (through‑hole required)
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work independently
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Experience in a regulated or quality‑controlled environment
- Familiarity with IPC soldering standards
- Experience with legacy or obsolete electronics
- Associate degree or technical certification in electronics (preferred, not required)
Physical Requirements:
- Fully onsite position (no remote or hybrid option)
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Fine motor skills for soldering and component handling
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
