Position SummaryHaag-Streit USA is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping Clerk to join our operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for packaging and shipping high-quality ophthalmic medical equipment while ensuring all products are securely prepared for safe delivery to customers.

Key Responsibilities- Perform put-away transactions of raw materials and finished goods within the ERP system to maintain inventory accuracy
- Prepare and finalize shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, and related paperwork accurately and completely
- Pick, pack, load, and unload orders according to detailed shipping instructions
- Verify quantities received against purchase requests, contracts, and shipping documents
- Pull and stage finished components for customer orders on designated pallets
- Package products using specialty corrugated containers and protective packing materials to prevent transit damage
- Build specialty shipping containers as needed using tools such as saws, drills, and staplers
- Determine shipment methods based on destination, routing, timing, and cost requirements
- Prepare shipping labels and complete carton preparation processes
- Secure and stabilize cartons and pallets throughout loading and shipment preparation
- Process shipments using computerized shipping systems including UPS and Fed Ex software
- Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, walkie-riders, and hoists
- Maintain warehouse, dock, and finished goods storage areas in a clean and organized condition
- Support warehouse reorganization and rack repositioning projects as needed
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to maintain high service levels throughout the facility
- Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and workplace regulations
- Participate actively in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support overtime needs and flexible scheduling requirements when necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous shipping or warehouse experience
- Strong ERP system experience
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for extended periods
- Strong manual dexterity and legible handwriting
- Ability to safely operate shipping and warehouse equipment
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- 6+ months of experience in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Experience using UPS, Fed Ex, or other shipping software systems
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
Work Environment Requirements
- Frequent standing, lifting, bending, and movement throughout the warehouse
- Ability to work overtime, including short-notice scheduling when required
- Comfortable operating warehouse tools and material handling equipment in a fast-paced production environment
