Quality Inspector-Cmm Operators - 1st & 2nd Shifts

Overview

Hi-Tek Manufacturing is seeking experienced CMM Quality Inspector/Operator candidates for 1st and 2nd shifts. Pay starts at $22-$28/hour, based on experience, with shift differential available for the 2nd shift.

• Analyze and interpret operation sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications
• Clean, set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot CMM equipment prior to use
• Perform incoming part inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections
• Verify conformance of finished work pieces to customer specifications using precision measuring tools
• Load, unload, and analyze measurement data to identify deviations from specifications
• Utilize knowledge of linear and rotary axes
• Operate overhead crane when necessary
• Communicate effectively with engineering, management, and CNC operators to optimize measurement processes and inspection methodologies
• Provide necessary data to machine operators to reduce defect rate
• Inform management when quality concerns arise
• Document actions by updating control charts, travelers, and reporting labor in the ERP system
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and follow all company policies, including PPE requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization’s values

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience with Calypso, OpenDMIS, or MCOSMOS software
• Experience with ZEISS, Mitutoyo, or WENZEL CMM machines
• 3+ years of experience using precision measuring tools in an industrial/manufacturing environment; aerospace experience preferred
• 3+ years of experience in CMM operation
• Knowledge of quality control principles and practices
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Must meet the ITAR definition of §120.15 U.S. person

• Lift, push, and/or pull up to 35 pounds regularly
• Operate overhead crane or other lifting equipment when necessary
• Stand or sit for at least 95% of the shift
• Reach, twist, bend, lift, and grasp; use gross and fine motor skills
• Vision requirements include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus (20/20 vision, natural or corrected, with ability to pass annual vision tests)

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 pm–12:00 am, with generous shift differential
• Overtime may be required as needed
• Pay: $22-$28/hour starting, based on experience
