Overview

Our client is an established leader in equipment and systems for international process industries, with 150 years of history helping customers reduce input costs and improve efficiency through innovative products and technologies. Their state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility is located in Mason, OH, where they design and manufacture products for customers across the globe.

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Repair Technician to disassemble, clean, and inspect RMA repair components, subassemblies, and assemblies.

Responsibilities
  • Inspects all component parts, noting required dimensions on inspection prints or other documentation provided.
  • Disassembles and cleans/power washes parts, assemblies, and subassemblies as needed for inspection.
  • Maintains organized storage of RMA components.
  • Performs equipment maintenance and housekeeping duties.
  • Aligns components and fastens them together.
  • Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement.
  • Bends and installs pipe for hydraulic systems.
  • Aligns and meshes gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears.
  • Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.
  • Plans assembly procedures and methods to assure efficient and timely progress; inspects parts for proper machining finish and dimensions; checks and tests subassemblies and units.
  • May be required to repair parts as needed.
  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to read precision measuring instruments.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of standard tools, materials, methods, and practices required in assembling product.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, tape measures, etc.).
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and overhead crane.
  • Must be able to read and write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to maintain machinery, equipment, and tools used in assembly.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Compensation & Benefits
  • $25–29/hr based on experience
  • Medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401k effective upon hire
