Kitter

MCC seeks a detail-oriented Kitter to assemble, pack, and label humanitarian relief kits that support vulnerable communities worldwide. Working in a faith-driven, collaborative warehouse environment, the Kitter follows packing standards, maintains inventory accuracy, and ensures quality control for each kit. Responsibilities include organizing materials, tracking stock, preparing shipments, and supporting volunteers. This role directly advances MCC's Christian mission of relief, development, and peace building through careful, efficient preparation of critical supplies for global distribution.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and pack relief kits according to established MCC standards and checklists
• Label, sort, and prepare kits for storage and shipment to global partner locations
• Maintain accurate inventory counts of kit components and finished kits
• Inspect materials and completed kits for quality, completeness, and cleanliness
• Organize shelves and storage areas to ensure efficient kit production flow
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing donated or purchased supplies
• Support and guide volunteers or service workers helping with kit assembly
• Follow all safety, cleanliness, and stewardship practices in the warehouse
• Record basic production data and report low stock or issues to supervisors
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals during high-demand periods
