Quality Technician - CMM – Direct Hire Opportunity
1st Shift - M-F 7am-3:30pm
2nd Shift - M-F 3:30pm–12:00am + strong shift diff
$22–$28 /hour to start
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join their aerospace/gas turbine manufacturing team on 1st or 2nd shift. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in quality inspection and non-destructive testing within a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment focused on safety and precision.
This position offers the opportunity to receive training and certification as a Level II FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection) Technician while also supporting CMM inspection activities as needed.

Responsibilities- Perform FPI inspections and document test results and reports
- Inspect parts using ultraviolet light and precision measuring equipment
- Clean, prep, load, and unload parts for inspection processes
- Assist with CMM inspections during slower FPI production periods
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections
- Analyze blueprints, op sheets, GD&T, and technical drawings
- Communicate quality concerns with engineering, operators, and management
- Maintain accurate inspection and ERP documentation
- Support AS9100 and NADCAP quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- High school diploma or GED required
- Manufacturing or aerospace experience preferred
- 3+ years of CMM experience preferred
- Experience with Calypso, OpenDMIS, or MCOSMOS software preferred
- Experience with ZEISS, Mitutoyo, or WENZEL CMM machines preferred
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
- NDT/FPI or other inspection experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills required
- Ability to stand or sit for most of the shift
- Regular lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and fine motor work
- Must meet vision requirements including color recognition and depth perception
$22–$28/hour based on experience, plus strong shift differential.
