Job DescriptionPerform qualitative and quantitative testing of samples as requested using analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, UV/Vis, KF, FTIR, and various wet chemistry techniques.
Ensure that the analytical data generated is accurate, precise, and in compliance with cGMP, FDA, and company requirements.
Document testing, observations, deviations, and Out of Specification (OOS) results clearly and completely. Perform peer review of data as needed.
Coordinate and prepare samples for shipment to external testing laboratories as needed.
Demonstrate the ability to understand and follow GMPs, SOPs, and analytical procedures (compendial and in-house).
Work collaboratively in a team environment to develop and maintain a positive culture within the organization.
Maintain good housekeeping practices in the laboratory and other work spaces.
Observe and comply with company Health and Safety policies.
Contribute to a continuous improvement environment and work with management to implement agreed-upon changes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
AdditionalSkills & Qualifications
Knowledge and hands on experience with some of the following: chromatography, spectroscopy, wet chemistry and dissolution testing.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to learn and adapt to demands in a fast paced work environment.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a hands-on collaborative fashion with many different disciplines both inside and outside of the company.
Ability to demonstrate good laboratory technique and a high degree of accuracy in the execution of different analytical techniques.
Education and Experience:
B.S. degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or other related discipline or equivalent, directly related job experience is required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a QC laboratory under a GMP environment is desired.
Experience with chromatographic data acquisition software is a plus.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Mason, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.65 - $43.00/hr.
