Magnetic Particle Inspector
Location:Fairfield, OH
Compensation:$28-$35/hr
Responsibilities- Perform MPI inspections using bench, coil, central-conductor, and yoke methods.
- Conduct MPI inspection sequence on all barrels and bolts.
- Perform daily system checks and maintain inspection equipment.
- Interpret and document indications per ASTM, ASME, MIL, and customer standards.
- Demagnetize parts and verify residual fields before release.
- Maintain inspection records, defect maps, and traceability.
- Support calibration, maintenance, and coordination with Production, QA, and Engineering.
- Follow safety, PPE, and chemical handling protocols.
- Level II MPI Certification
- Previous experience with NDT is required
- Previous experience in the Manufacturing Industry is required
- Ability to read blueprints
- Hands-on experience with MPI benches, yokes, gauges, and meters.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with ASTM E1444/E1444M or NAS-410 standards.
- Additional NDT certifications is a plus
- Knowledge of GD&T and manual inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
