Quality Technician – 2nd Shift Position Type:

Location:

Mason, Ohio Position Summary We are seeking an experienced

Quality Technician to join our quality team on2nd shift. This role is responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying the conformance of finished work pieces to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience withat least one of the following:
Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), or airflow testing. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, technically capable, and comfortable working independently in a precision manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities Inspect, test, and verify theconformance of finished workpiecesto engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and established quality standards.

Perform inspections usingFPI, CMM, airflow testing, and other applicable inspection methods.

Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, inspection requirements, and technical specifications.

Perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring equipment.

Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming conditions.

Record inspection results accurately and maintain required quality documentation.

Work with manufacturing and engineering personnel to investigate quality issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.

Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections as required.

Verify that finished products meet required dimensional, functional, and quality specifications before release.

Assist with troubleshooting and root-cause investigations related to product quality.

Maintain inspection equipment and ensure equipment is properly calibrated and used according to established procedures.

Follow all quality, safety, and procedural requirements.

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional inspection area.

Required Qualifications Previous experience in aQuality Technician, Quality Inspector, or similar manufacturing quality role.

Strong hands-on experience withat least one of the following is required:

- FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection)
CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
Airflow testing

Experience testing and verifying the conformance of finished work pieces.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.Experience using precision inspection and measurement equipment.

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify deviations from specifications.

Ability to accurately document inspection results and communicate quality issues.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize inspection requirements.

Preferred Qualifications Experience in a precision machining or aerospace/defense manufacturing environment.

Experience with multiple inspection methods, including FPI, CMM, and airflow testing.

Familiarity with quality management systems and nonconformance procedures.

Experience with statistical or process-based quality tools.

Experience using inspection software and electronic quality documentation systems.

Relevant technical training, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is adetail-oriented Quality Technician who takes ownership of inspection accuracy and product quality. You should be comfortable working with precision components, interpreting technical requirements, and using specialized inspection methods to verify that finished work pieces meet specifications.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with machinists, engineers, and other quality personnel are important to success in this role.

This is a 2nd shift position requiring a strong quality background and demonstrated hands-on experience with FPI, CMM, or airflow testing.

You should be proficient in:

GD&TQuality Control Experience Tolerance Analysis Advanced Inspection & Gauge Measurement Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
Blueprint ReadingCMMMachines & technologies you'll use:
