R&D PhD Summer Intern - AI Research Engineer

Overview:
Research and Development (R&D) at Procter & Gamble focuses on product research, formulation, testing, and scientific analysis. This 12‑week paid internship (May to August 2026, with possibility of early June start) is designed for individuals pursuing a PhD to develop proficiency in their field within a supportive environment.

• Develop AI agents using LLMs to automate complex tasks and generate creative solutions.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate AI technologies into existing workflows.
• Deploy deep learning inference models on Python servers via FastAPI.
• Facilitate scalable and efficient processing of datasets through AI agent interactions.
• Provide insights and support decision‑making processes using AI‑driven analytics.

Required Qualifications:

• Working towards a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Experience in developing and deploying AI models, deep learning, and machine learning applications.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with Tensor Flow and/or PyTorch.
• Available to work a 12‑week internship from May/early June to August 2026 (Monday‑Friday, in‑office)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Langchain or Langraph.
• Proficiency in FastAPI.
• Familiarity with Docker container environments.

Pay: $60.57 per hour.

Additional compensation decisions are based on a variety of non‑discriminatory factors and may include a bonus, depending on circumstances.
