Weekend Host​/Cashier

Weekend Host/Cashier - Up to $15/hr!

Half Day Café is seeking a few smiling faces to join us on Saturdays and Sundays, plus some weekdays (if desired) as a Host/Cashier at our Mason/Deerfield Township location. The Host/Cashier ensures the guests are greeted with warmth and seated promptly in an orderly, efficient manner. They will also help bus tables and cash out guest checks. The Host/Cashier must be engaging and genuinely interested in both guest experiences and the success of Half Day Café, leaving guests wanting to return.

Our hosts work from 8am - 2pm, so you can make some money and still enjoy your day! Pay includes a base rate + Cash tipshare based on sales volume, which typically ends up equalling $13 - $15 per hour. Go to (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). to apply!

Requirements/Qualifications:

• The Host/Cashier must:
• Have a professional appearance and positive attitude
• Be comfortable greeting and welcoming guests, inviting them back as they leave
• Get along with others easily and work well in a team environment
• Be dependable, punctual, motivated, and have reliable transportation
• Possess basic math skills, and work well under pressure
• Must have availability during weekend morning hours
• Be able to take direction, multi-task, and demonstrate organizational skills
• Be able to stand, bend, reach and walk for long periods of time and lift up to 20lbs
• Have good conversational skills with an outgoing personality

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Restaurant/retail experience preferred but not required. This position is great as a first job!
