Overview

Graeter’s Ice Cream, a fourth‑generation family‑owned company, seeks an Assistant Manager to support retail store operations in Westbourne – Cincinnati, OH. The role focuses on guest service, sales, quality, and employee engagement, with a focus on maintaining product quality, store presentation, and a positive store environment.

• Lead the store team to achieve exceptional guest service, sales, quality, and profitability.
• act as brand ambassador, uphold Graeter’s standards for product quality, display, and store environment.
• Support the Store Manager in managing people, products, and systems within a retail environment.
• Develop team performance through goal setting and coaching; monitor cash handling, inventory, and ordering processes; ensure adherence to company policies.

• Passionate about guest service and making customers’ day.
• Aim to build management skills through understanding cash management, inventory, ordering, product display, and team leadership.
• Organized and capable of assisting the Store Manager with people, products, and systems.
• Goal‑oriented with strong problem‑solving abilities and enthusiasm for the work.

• Experience:
  
  Retail and/or food service background; minimum 1–2 years in a supervisory/manager/leadership role with a team of at least 5.
• Math & Language
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to analyze sales data, measurements, percentages; read and comprehend instructions; write professional reports and memos; speak before groups.
• Education:
  
  High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred or a combination of education and supervisory experience.
• Physical Demands:
  Lift up to 40 lbs; load supplies and equipment; stand for 8+ hours.
• Full‑Time Employment:
  Minimum 40 hours per week; varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas).
