Project Accountant

CFS is partnering with a growing construction organization to identify a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working closely with project managers and operations teams in a fast-paced environment. The position is fully onsite in North Billerica and offers a salary range of $90,000-$105,000 plus a 3-8% bonus
.

• Manage project accounting activities from project setup through closeout
• Monitor project budgets, costs, commitments, and profitability
• Prepare and analyze Work in Progress (WIP) reports
• Review subcontractor invoices, change orders, and billing documentation
• Process owner billings and support collections activities
• Reconcile project costs and ensure accurate job costing
• Partner with project managers to review financial performance and forecasts
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Maintain project documentation and reporting within Procore
• Support audits and ad hoc financial analysis as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry
• Experience with job costing and project-based accounting
• Proficiency with Procore and accounting software systems
• Strong understanding of construction billing, contracts, and change orders
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
