Accountant Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Accountant Analyst to support a manufacturing operation in Devens, MA. This role will focus on cost accounting, standard costing, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and process improvement
.

The ideal candidate will have manufacturing accounting experience and the ability to partner with Operations to understand costs, improve financial performance, and automate reporting processes.

• Perform general and cost accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Analyze standard costs, manufacturing costs, P&L, and Balance Sheet impacts
  .
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  .
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and GAAP
  .
• Partner with Operations to identify cost-reduction and process-improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement financial reporting and process automation initiatives.
• Use advanced Excel, Excel macros, and Power BI to improve reporting and analysis.
• Investigate financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Support accounting system improvements and special projects.
• Present financial analysis and recommendations to management and business leaders.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  .
• 2–5 years of accounting experience
  , preferably with strong cost accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing and manufacturing accounting
  .
• Experience with P&L, Balance Sheet, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  .
• Experience with internal controls and compliance
  .
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
  ; CAS/FAR knowledge is a plus.
• Manufacturing experience required
  ; aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including macros.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
