We are seeking an experienced Accountant Analyst to support a manufacturing operation in Devens, MA. This role will focus on cost accounting, standard costing, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and process improvement
.
The ideal candidate will have manufacturing accounting experience and the ability to partner with Operations to understand costs, improve financial performance, and automate reporting processes.
- Perform general and cost accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Analyze standard costs, manufacturing costs, P&L, and Balance Sheet impacts
. - Prepare financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
. - Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and GAAP
. - Partner with Operations to identify cost-reduction and process-improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement financial reporting and process automation initiatives.
- Use advanced Excel, Excel macros, and Power BI to improve reporting and analysis.
- Investigate financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Support accounting system improvements and special projects.
- Present financial analysis and recommendations to management and business leaders.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
. - 2–5 years of accounting experience
, preferably with strong cost accounting experience. - Strong knowledge of standard costing and manufacturing accounting
. - Experience with P&L, Balance Sheet, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
. - Experience with internal controls and compliance
. - Strong knowledge of GAAP
; CAS/FAR knowledge is a plus. - Manufacturing experience required
; aerospace manufacturing experience preferred. - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including macros.
