Property Accountant

Kforce's client in Newton, MA is seeking a Property Accountant.

Summary:

This company is a mixed-use developer which owns, operates and leases over a 100 properties that range from cutting-edge urban spaces to lifestyle and community centers. It is one of the largest privately-owned development firms in the country. This role will require a high degree of collaboration both as a member of a Team, and cross-functionally. The Property Accountant will work closely with Lease Compliance, Construction/Development, Property Maintenance, Finance, Leasing, Legal and Tenant Coordination.

Relationship building, coupled with a strong work ethic, will be key components to success. The Property Accountant will work cooperatively with their Team on a portfolio of commercial real estate projects/properties.

Duties include:

• Monthly general ledger maintenance (GAAP & Tax basis)
• Tenant billings (utilities, percentage rent, CAM, and RET)
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Financial statement preparation
• REIT testing
• Cash management
• Assistance in the annual audit
• Oversight of tax return preparation

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 1 to 3 years of general ledger/financial statement preparation in a similar environment
• Knowledge of MRI, Avidxchange and Anaplan is highly desirable
• Strong Excel knowledge is also a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
