Controller
We are seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee the accounting and financial operations of a growing organization with a diverse portfolio of projects and investments. This role will manage day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, project accounting, cash flow, audits, compliance, and broader financial activities.
The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a smaller company environment, enjoys staying close to the details, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats. Salary Range: $120,000-$130,000 / Year, DOE
Responsibilities- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting
- Lead month-end close and prepare accurate financial statements and management reporting
- Manage project accounting, budgets, cost tracking, invoicing, and cash flow
- Support financing activities and other financial initiatives
- Manage payroll administration, payroll taxes, and related compliance requirements
- Oversee banking relationships, taxes, audits, and coordination with external financial partners
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable requirements
- Support the administration of insurance, health, and retirement plans, as needed
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 2+ years of experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience working in a project-based, investment-focused, or similarly complex business environment
- Experience supporting financing activities, complex agreements, or project-related financial transactions
- Proficiency with accounting platforms such as Net Suite, Sage Intacct, or comparable systems
- Strong hands-on accounting skills with the ability to manage both strategic and day-to-day responsibilities
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working within a lean, collaborative environment
