Requirements:
Experience using Canvas LMS, experience working in an academic/healthcare setting, and/or in a complex, multi-stakeholder office, customer service- and detail-oriented. Highly desired skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including error-free written communication; organization and time management skills to prioritize tasks across multiple courses/projects and meet strict deadlines; flexibility, adaptability and problem-solving skills to professionally and calmly manage last-minute changes or unexpected issues.
Additional Job Details:
Reporting to the Associate Director of Curriculum Administration in the HMS Office of Medical Education, the Course Coordinator provides dedicated administrative support to Pathways pre clerkship and post-PCE courses in the Program in Medical Education. The primary responsibilities of the Course Coordinator include posting of electronic resources and course data on learning management and administrative systems; coordination of patient interview sessions;
creation of student group assignments; provision of timely in-venue support to course sessions, including anatomy labs and clinical course exercises; organizes and distributes course supplies; assistance with course wrap-up logistics; and assessment support, including exam proctoring. The Course Coordinator assists the Course Managers with written communications to teaching faculty, students, administrative staff and patients; reserves classroom and meeting space; provides meeting support services;
and assists with resource and data management. The Course Coordinator may provide cross-team coverage and be assigned other ad hoc course-related projects as required.
Description:
Coordinates and has direct responsibility for a program, project, event or program. Creates and implements administrative systems to manage area of responsibility. Serves as main source of information, effectively responding to inquiries from potential customers, participants, academic collaborators. Prepares and maintains records, reports, budget and plans. May maintain a web page, website, or program materials. Requires 2 to 3 years of related experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction. Able to plan, prioritize, and track work. Basic or better proficiency on common office software.
