Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Job Type: Temporary-to-Hire

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a professional and organized Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to join our team in South Deerfield, MA. This temporary-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment while serving as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, and employees. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while providing exceptional administrative support across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome visitors, customers, vendors, and employees in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls and emails to the appropriate departments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area, conference rooms, and common spaces.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and conference room reservations.
  • Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, scanning, copying, and document preparation.
  • Assist with travel arrangements, calendar management, and expense reports as needed.
  • Order and maintain office, kitchen, and administrative supplies.
  • Support new employee onboarding by preparing materials and coordinating logistics.
  • Maintain company files and confidential records in accordance with company policies.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, correspondence, and other business documents.
  • Coordinate office meetings, employee events, and company activities.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to support daily administrative and operational needs.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Perform additional administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a receptionist, administrative assistant, or office support role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and sound judgment when handling daily responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial office environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP, HRIS, or office management software.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience operating multi‑line phone systems, printers, copiers, and other standard office equipment.
  • Familiarity with scheduling software and calendar management tools.
  • Experience with ERP or HRIS systems is a plus.
