Automotive Estimator II; Manheim

Compensation

Hourly base pay $20.00 – $30.00/hour with potential for commission/incentives.

Responsible for generating accurate and timely estimates for reconditioning services offered to all wholesale and retail clients on consigned vehicles.

• Accurately create vehicle repair estimates based on damages, paint, color match, and blending procedures.
• Utilize estimating tools (Manheim, Audatex, CCCOne, Mitchell, Xtime) to provide accurate estimates.
• Document damages in estimating tool to provide visibility to the client.
• Proficient in all Market Center client account standards and company safety standards.
• Audit and train other estimators.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Minimum 5+ years automotive experience including service, estimations, insurance adjuster, and/or appraiser.
• Fluent in estimating software (Audatex, CCCOne, Mitchell, Xtime) and associated procedure pages.
• Expertise in examining damaged vehicles for structural, body, mechanical, interior damage and determining repair feasibility versus replacement.
• Knowledge of vehicle materials (magnesium, aluminum, UHSS, HSS) and repairability of panels (PDR, body repairs, rivets, adhesive bonding).
• Skill in taking photos to support estimate items.
• Experience with recalibrations, functionality resets, and insurance collision programs (DRP, IRP, COD).
• Ability to mentor junior estimators.
• Knowledge of paint products (PPG, Dupont, BASF, Sikkens) and refinish procedures.
• Knowledge of frame types, damage zones, inertia damage, and quality control checks per SOP and client guidelines.
• OE, ASE, and I-Car certifications required.
• General mechanical repair knowledge and wheel repairability expertise.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license; ability to drive vehicles with standard/automatic transmission.
• Capacity to lift and carry up to 25 lbs; visual acuity for close/distant/color vision and depth perception.

Effective verbal communication and customer service skills; works independently; ready to work in a fast‑paced environment.
