Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Automotive Technician role based in Topsfield, MA. The Automotive Technician will perform routine vehicle maintenance, including inspections, diagnostics, and scheduled services. Daily tasks include oil changes, brake and suspension work, general automotive repair, and resolving mechanical issues to ensure vehicle safety and performance. The role involves documenting work performed, communicating clearly with the Service Manager, and following shop procedures and safety standards.
The technician will also help maintain a clean, organized workspace and may assist with test drives or further diagnostics as needed.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, including routine inspections and preventive services.
- Candidates should possess skills in Oil Changes and basic fluid services, following manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.
- Candidates should possess skills in Automotive Repair, including diagnosing and fixing mechanical and electrical issues.
- Candidates should possess skills in Suspension work, including inspection, repair, and replacement of related components.
- Relevant qualifications include prior experience as an automotive technician, familiarity with diagnostic tools, and the ability to read and interpret repair manuals.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include ASE certifications (or willingness to obtain them), a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
