The APM’s primary role is to provide technical support to the Project Manager and Field Staff to ensure the team receives all pertinent information and support necessary to deliver the project professionally, on time, and within budget. The APM will support the team with the development and updating of the project schedule and actively participate in subcontractor management.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage project-related documents (change orders, schedules, analysis, proposals, reports, etc.).
- Organize and track project costs using financial software systems.
- Check and monitor change order submissions for accuracy and consistency with scope documents.
- Support the company’s Safety Program and participate in safety training and meetings.
- Track department spending and project budgets.
- Work with management by keeping them informed, summarizing information and trends.
Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering or related degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong skills in reading and comprehending contract drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of construction processes, scheduling, subcontractor buyout, and delivery schedules.
- Ability to establish positive working relationships proactively.
- Detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines with accurate deliverables.
- Proficiency in Primavera, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Physical Demands:
The physical demands include sitting, using hands, reaching, talking, hearing, occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
