Project Assistant
This role is designed as a training and growth opportunity for individuals interested in advancing to project management. The Project Assistant (PA) provides comprehensive support to the company's project management and field staff on designated construction projects. The PA assists with a broad range of project activities to help move the project forward.
Essential functions include generating and tracking project activities, coordinating subcontractor activities, tracking and organizing all subcontractor documents, generating, maintaining, and updating project directories, applying for building permits, performing project document control, performing estimating, attending weekly meetings, generating minutes and distributing, collecting all closeout information and assembling as built packages, participating in PA Day in the Field program to gain onsite experience, escalating concerns, issues or delays relative to project work, subcontractor performance or other activities that may impact project completion, and performing other functions as required.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating effort toward continued development and growth in the industry, continuing education, coursework and seminars, a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, participating in company-sponsored training programs, meetings and seminars, maintaining necessary training certifications such as First Aid/CPR, and completing a 30-hour OSHA training within one year of employment and ongoing as necessary.
Preferred qualifications include experience working with project management software, experience working with on-screen take-off software, and experience reviewing construction documents (plans and specs).
