Job Description
What if you could do the kind of work the world needs? At WSP you will support decommissioning, demolition and remediation projects that require significant periods of sitework. The successful candidate will play a key role in the set‑up and day‑to‑day delivery of projects, working closely with team members, project managers and directors. Activities include monitoring operations and gaining experience toward supervising and eventually managing these works.
The role is predominantly site‑based, with travel across the UK and potentially internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend works/site briefings, meetings and workshops.
- Observe and report on contractor work.
- Assist in data gathering and surveying of new projects.
- Ensure adherence to best technical, engineering and health & safety practice.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors and the project team.
- Provide operational assistance toward project delivery.
- Deliver tasks cost‑effective and timely.
- Experience in an engineering consultancy, industrial engineering or site‑based role.
- A degree in engineering, construction/demolition management or health, safety & environment.
- Has a full UK driving licence.
- Is comfortable working on‑site and in an office.
- Is self‑motivated, uses initiative and can work independently.
- Asks questions to understand objectives and expectations.
- Shows attention to detail.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Remains calm and focused under pressure.
- Adapts quickly to change and learns quickly.
- Delivers commitments on time and to quality.
- Is self‑aware and recognizes own limitations.

Full UK driving licence (or equivalent). Experience in decommissioning, demolition or remediation on high hazard sites is desirable. A degree in one of the following: engineering, construction/demolition management, health, safety & environment. Proven ability to work independently and in a team.
