# Cake Decorator Twist Millis - Millis, MA 02054## Overview Salary Range $18.00 - $22.00 Hourly## Description We have a reasonable, daily production plan you will execute according to the training we provide.  Some of the items you'll enjoy making are breads, muffins, scones, cinnamon rolls, cookies, cupcakes, brownies and bars, frostings, and fillings.  Decorating cupcakes, pastries and cakes also available or to learn.

* Job Responsibilities:

* ** Produce**:
Make product that meets our bakery standards by following our established recipes and processes.
* ** Execute:
** the daily production plan in a timely and efficient manner.
* ** Design & Decorate:
** Create high-quality cakes and other pastries using buttercream, flowers, airbrushing, and other decorating techniques.  Create from scratch buttercream décor using fine piping techniques to make flowers, figures, drawings and frosting transfers.
* ** Custom Orders:
** Consult with clients to design personalized cakes for weddings, birthdays, special occasions and other catering projects.  Be a part of the delivery team as required for certain orders.
* ** Innovation & Trends:
** Stay ahead of cake trends and develop new, unique designs for seasonal offerings.
* ** Efficiency & Time Management:
** Execute production schedule to meet order deadlines.

** Work closely with the bakery team to ensure seamless production from baking to final presentation.## Qualifications

* Qualifications & Skills:

**
* ** 3+ years of professional cake decorating experience** (including custom designs and intricate piping) OR 2 years of experience in a commercial bakery and/or a degree in a related field
* ** Strong portfolio of work
** showcasing previous cake designs
* Ability to
** sketch and plan cake designs
** based on guest needs and company directives
* ** Expert knowledge of cake structures** (tiered cakes and support systems, etc.)
* Strong attention to detail and a passion for precision
* Ability to
** work in a fast-paced environment
** while maintaining high quality
* Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8
-10 hours), bend, stretch, turn and twist, lift 50 pounds and are able to maneuver large bakery equipment.
* ** Excellent customer service skills
** for guest consultations
