After School Drama Production Team Members

Position Description

Two Positions Available:
Drama Tech Teacher and Chorus / Musical Director. Wellan Montessori School is seeking creative and collaborative production professionals to join our After School Drama Team for the upcoming school year. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about theater education and eager to help students bring a production to life from staging to sound. Our Drama Program meets weekly throughout the semester starting from 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM with extended classes closer to the performance.

Our teaching rate starts at $45 an hour.

• Drama Tech Teacher: Responsible for guiding students through the fundamentals of stagecraft, including set design, lighting, sound, and backstage management.
• Chorus / Musical Director: Responsible for leading vocal rehearsals, teaching musical numbers, and coaching student performers on vocal expression and projection.

• Collaborate closely with the Drama Director and fellow production staff to execute a cohesive vision for the school production.
• Lead structured, engaging, and age-appropriate afternoon rehearsals or technical workshops.
• Create a supportive and inclusive environment where students of all skill levels can build confidence and theater skills.

• Experience in theater production, technical theater, choral directing, or music education.
• Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in an after-school or camp setting.
• Strong organizational and collaborative skills.
