JOB TYPE: Seasonal, Part Time

LOCATION DETAILS: Onsite at CLI during Conservatory - Southampton, MA

COMPENSATION: The pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: You will be expected to travel as needed for Conservatory dance projects, Conservatory training events, and to recruiting events around the country.

Through our online training program dancers around the world can take over 1,500 classes from top dance instructors from New York and Los Angeles.

For more advanced students, we offer the CLI Conservatory, an extensive in-person training program where dancers launch their professional careers with training and support from over 100 world-renowned choreographers. Our team is a collaboration between world-class performing artists (e.g. multi-season stars from SYTYCD), technologists, startup operators, and more. We believe business and art are not mutually exclusive. In fact, it is the melding of these two worlds that has made us the bold, creative force we are today.

Dance Faculty Assistants work with CLI Conservatory choreographers, the CLI Conservatory operations team, and the CLI Conservatory Artistic Director, Teddy Forance. You will be curious about how you approach your work. You will not be afraid to act fast and confidently find solutions to challenges and questions of our members. You will be someone who is able to work collaboratively, but also thrives in taking the initiative in an independent manner.

You’ll also be up for the adventure of working at an early-stage startup, which means you are ready and willing to wear multiple hats when needed.

• Provide support during dance classes by assisting choreographers and students as needed.
• Assist with rehearsals and preparation for performances.
• Collaborate with CLI faculty in developing and workshopping new choreography.
• Supporting the CLI Conservatory Intensives team on the Fall, Winter, and Summer Intensives, as needed.
• Working with the operations team on the Admitted Students weekends for upcoming Conservatory students to experience the Conservatory.
• Assisting the operations team on day-to-day Conservatory initiatives such as general studio operations and opening and closing our studios each day.
