Location: Williamstown

The College seeks a full-time (40 hours per week) year-round Dispatcher to serve in Campus Safety Services (CSS) as the first point of contact for our community.
 Responsibilities:
 Handling emergency and routine calls and maintaining the daily logs
 Dispatching officers accordingly, monitoring multiple computerized alarm and card access systems, and appropriately responding to and directing other calls
 Responsible for checking out equipment, keys, and access cards
 Implementing emergency paging systems
 Other duties as needed
 Dispatchers may occasionally also have the opportunity to work at events and serve as a Campus Safety Officer when available.

Qualifications:

Ability to provide exemplary customer service and use excellent communication skills to build rapport over the telephone.
 Ability to handle routine and emergency (including medical and psychological) situations with excellent judgment, including when multiple situations arise at the same time.
 Attention to detail and strong computer competence.
 A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a public safety or security-related role is preferred.
 Familiarity and interest in working with college-age students is required, with a strong commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
 Applicants should possess computer expertise, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and positively with others are essential.
 A valid driver's license is required at the time of application.
 Shift Details:
 The available shift is five shifts on and two shifts off on a fixed 5/2 schedule (evenings and nights only).
 The open shift is 7:00pm to 3:00am on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; 11:30pm to 7:30am on Sunday and Monday. Days off will be Tuesday and Wednesday.
 This position is eligible for premium pay, including overtime and applicable shift differentials, for work performed during holidays, weekends, emergency snow response, and other qualifying shifts.
 Schedules are subject to change based on the needs of the department; mandatory shifts, overtime, and holiday hours may be required. There may be some times of the year, based on the academic calendar, that may not be available for time off.
 Application review will begin on August 12th, 2026. Pay ranges from $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
