Customer Care Specialist

Position Type: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Hours: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Reports To: Customer Care Manager
Compensation:$22/hr - $23/hr

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Customer Care Specialist to serve as a primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and internal teams. This position is responsible for managing customer inquiries, processing orders, coordinating returns and shipments, and ensuring a seamless experience from order placement through resolution.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a high-volume environment. This person will collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Shipping, and other departments to resolve issues, maintain accurate customer information, and support day-to-day order activity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle a high volume of customer inquiries through phone, email, and online channels
  • Process customer orders accurately within an ERP system
  • Provide customers with updates regarding orders, shipping, deliveries, and product availability
  • Assist with product questions and help customers identify appropriate solutions
  • Coordinate returns, replacements, RMAs, and warranty-related requests
  • Address customer questions related to payments and accounts
  • Track returned products and replacement shipments through completion
  • Maintain accurate customer, order, and account information
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Shipping, and other internal teams to resolve customer concerns
  • Support online and e-commerce order activity
  • Document customer interactions, issues, and resolutions in company systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer service processes and overall efficiency
Qualifications Required
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, customer support, order processing, or a related role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills
  • Professional, customer-focused approach
Preferred
  • Experience working with an ERP or order management system
  • Background in manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, or another product-based environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Experience managing customer orders through the complete order lifecycle
