Salary Range: $20.00-$23.00

The New England Center for Children has partnered with Boston University's Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine and is offering an amazing part‑time opportunity for a Dental Clinic Coordinator.
The Dental Clinic Coordinator is responsible for the management of dental appointment scheduling, overseeing student registration, and the management of the on‑site, brand new, state of the art dental clinic.
Additionally, Boston University School of Medicine will provide on‑the‑job training as a dental assistant at no expense! This will require the individual to take a weekend certificate course which teaches the essential concepts of dental radiology for dental assistants.
What You'll Do:- Create and maintain updated clinic schedule including both dental provider’s scheduling system and Student Medical Calendar on NECC Outlook
- Ensure students are registered with dental provider prior to attending appointment
- Ensure all required consents are signed by parents/guardians prior to appointment time
- Notification of parent participation in clinic (both virtual and on‑site) to necessary parties
- Reschedule student appointments in timely fashion if unable to attend scheduled time
- Attend on‑site dental clinic approximately once weekly on Tuesdays or Thursdays
- Ensure dental provider has what they need for student appointments, including tool sterilization and clinic set‑up/break‑down before and after clinic hours once weekly
- Coordinate student attendance in clinic including calling teams with appointment reminders and adjusting appointments per team needs
- Advocate for student success during appointment, including making sure papoose is readily accessible as needed
- Assist with student behavioral concerns for students. May need to call for additional assistance in some cases.
- Administrative skills necessary with proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel and ability/interest in learning new products
- Friendly, kind demeanor with articulate communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and projects, and in meeting established goals within deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High level of flexibility and interest in taking on new projects
