PURPOSE
To train on site and learn how to provide four-handed assistance to the Dentist and to assist the dental staff with quality care for health center patients.
RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities will be taught on site with a trainer, at radiology classes, through online programs to learn to provide:
- Clinical assisting.
- Maintaining instruments and machinery.
- Proper cleaning and sterilization of instruments and handpieces.
- Be current on new requirements for sterilization and maintenance.
- Inventory supplies.
- Maintaining stocked dental supplies.
- Accompany patients to/from waiting area.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Water line maintenance and flushing as needed.
- Operatory infection control
- Utilize patient mouth rinse prior to any procedures.
- Verify patient’s medications and health history, advise dentist.
36 hours per week
Requirements QUALIFICATIONSRequired: Take and pass Radiology certification test, CPR certified, successful completion of Infection Control course, must acquire MA Dental Assistant license within 6 months of hire
