Substitute Teachers and Substitute Education Support Professionals

Grades PreK to 12 needed for daily - on-call basis to fill in for absences.

The Weymouth Public Schools is accepting applications for Substitute Teachers and Education Support Professionals (day to day, on-call substitutes) We welcome you to apply via Talent Ed.

Requirements for Substitute Teachers:

* Bachelor's Degree Required for Teaching Roles (a copy of transcripts/evidence of degree must accompany application)

* A college student who is in second semester junior year or higher may apply as a Teacher Substitute (with proof of credits/transcripts)
* Rate:$113.25 per day

Requirements for Substitute Education Support Professionals:

* High School Degree or equivalent

Rate: $97.25 per day

Substitute Resposibilities:

1. Implement teacher lesson plans and administrator directives with fidelity and efficiency

2. Communicate with classroom teachers and if necessary, principal regarding expectations for student work, behavior, and lesson execution.

3. Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students.

4. Ensure the teacher's absence does not cause an interruption in classroom instruction.

5. Perform supervisory duties as assigned (such as lunch, bus, or recess duty).

6. Abide by state statutes, school committee policies and regulations

7. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.

8. Maintain confidentiality regarding students and staff personnel information

9. Ability to be flexible with job assignments as needed

10. Assumes responsibility for other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned
